That could be how someone would sum up the majority of my time right now and for the next few months. My husband, daughter and I have packed our things carefully into our trailer, latched it onto the back of our car and we are carrying our home on our backs while we tour and sing around the country. We will go here and there smiling, talking, singing, shaking hands and communing with those we cross paths with along the way.
It is interesting how little is needed, within our turtle like shell of trailer and car, in comparison to the things we packed up in pods, in San Diego, to await our return months from now. We have a bit of clothing, books, toys, guitars, laptops, CDs and the bags to house it all in but when it comes down to it, it is each other that makes the traveling fill with laughter and smiling.
So while you are mowing your yard or washing the dishes or sit stuck in traffic and you let your mind wander off into thoughts about us on the road, pray for us. Pray for our safety and fun and divine appointments and for growth and wisdom and for these new songs to go out and be received.
Be expecting sporadic blogging, in fact my Thursday “Knots That Bind” blogs may find themselves being posted on a Friday or Tuesday but I will be blogging and tracking these travels I am embarking on.
I hope we see you while we are out on the road so don’t be shy, come up and say hello.
Go ahead, imagine Scarlett, Jonny and I with turtle shells and smiles on our traveling faces.
